In Google Tag Manager we can use Lookup Tables when we want to assign a goal to different values, if we have multiple accounts, or multiple property containers, or different file types to assign an event to. This will optimize the use of the tool.
Within the definitions of Lookup Tables we can use Regular Expressions. For example:
- •/product //
- [-a1b2c3]
- colou?r
With this we will be able to take even more advantage of the tool, optimizing the filters that apply in each definition, however, it is important to make sure that the RegEx used work as we expect and include or exclude the information that is desired, in other words, we have to make sure that the regular expression we use only corresponds to the information we want to capture.
