Incubeta Wins Prestigious FD Gazelle Award out of 600+ Shortlisted Entries

For the nineteenth time, the Dutch Financial Times or Het Financieele Dagblad (FD) has organized the FD Gazellen Awards, prestigious prizes granted to the fastest growing companies in the Netherlands. During a festive ceremony held at Theater Amsterdam (Houthavens), FD declared the fastest growers per region, awarding Gold, Silver and Bronze awards in the revenue categories Small (up to €2 million in the base year 2019), Medium (€2 million to €10 million) and Large (€10 million and more).

Incubeta  officially became the first digital agency to win the Silver FD Gazelle award out of 685 shortlisted entries in the West region and the small category, specifically gaining recognition for the company’s work as an outstanding marketplace solutions provider for both mid-market and enterprise brands worldwide. Coming second only to Sprints and Sneakers, Incubeta outranked the likes of Gorillas, Marcel’s Green Soap, and more.

In 2021, global digital agency Incubeta acquired Maze-One, the first company in the Netherlands to focus solely on the management of marketplaces such as Amazon and bol.com for brands. Maze-One was founded by Tim van der Bilt, who also founded and sold the first programmatic agency in the Netherlands. Prior to his successful entrepreneurial streak, Tim led as a board member of AOL and Dentsu, and today sits as Incubeta’s Global Head of Marketplaces. Today, Incubeta comprises over 800 digital experts working across 22 offices worldwide. The acquisition has provided Incubeta customers with end-to-end digital commerce support for marketplaces such as Amazon, bol.com, Mano Mano, Allegro, Zalando, and more, while at the same time adding their Verified Partner status with Amazon to the company’s roster of enterprise partners such as Google, Snap Inc., TikTok, Meta, Apple, and more.

The FD Gazelle Awards are organized every year by Het Financieele Dagblad, a renowned Dutch publisher focused on providing in-depth articles about politics, economics, and business. FD’s readership mainly consists of decision makers within the private and public sectors of the Netherlands. They are part of the Financial Dagblad Media Group (FDMG), which is owned by HAL Investments.

In 2021, FD Gazelle (Small) winners must have had at least 20% revenue growth from 2018 to 2020 and a turnover of at least €250,000 in 2018 before closing the year 2020 even more profitably. Criteria for this year also includes revenue and turnover growth rates of at least 20% each in the previous three years, with a profitable last year. Incubeta far exceeded the award criteria this year, having achieved an impressive 154-fold growth in profit within the three-year timeframe.

Winning an FD Gazelle award is a prestigious feat, speaking volumes for the exemplary growth and success of all the winning and shortlisted companies.

Upon winning the award, Tim van der Bilt shares his thoughts: “This prize is a testament to the diversity and skills of our team. It’s a proud moment for our team to be able to win this after just three years in operation, especially with so many other great companies shortlisted. Aside from the fact that we are a Dutch-born company, I definitely think a major reason for our success is due to our entire team’s diversity – in gender, expertise, age, and cultural backgrounds. Having this wide range of perspectives and representation is simply what works best in building and scaling a company.”
